Just a thought...

Isn't finalization wonderful? I mean you finally know the outcome of something and it's CLEAR! You are able to move towards a new goal without the old situation holding you back. It's like... Freedom

I also have a praise that my cousin's Grandma Venice (mom's side) made it through her brain tumor surgery. For those who didn't know, this was a re-occuring tumor. The doctors didn't think it would come back but, lets just say God has a reason for everything. During the surgery of removing her first tumor, only 65% was removed. This time they removed 90%! God is gracious!!! My family is rejoicing and I hope she can continue living a fruitful life for the time alloted to her. She is truly a blessing.

Whew! Today has been a LONG day. I began at, believe it or not, 8:30 a.m. and got to my high school at 9:08 (yea we were supposed to be there at 9...) From there I proceeded to march in the Memorial Day Parade in our friendly old people community down the street. It felt weird at one part because on of the pastor's was praying and asked us to recite a certain line at times during the prayer. When it came time, I said it and then opened my eyes to see everyone just STARING at me like I was some kind of lunatic for ACTUALLY PAYING ATTENTION!!! lol

Anyway, then I went home for two hours before going to work from 2:00 to 5:30. I heard news that Mr. Snyder is not going to let Daniel nor I into the choir this year because we are mean, ugly, and cannot sing (lol I LOVE how he jokes with a straight face!!!!! and yes he WAS JOKING for all you meanies out there *coughSylviacough*)

Finally I got to go home again and eat Porterhouse Steak (Thanks to my daddy) and went out for ice-cream.

During this whole time of being home I was watching episodes from the Law and Order Marathon that was on today. What can I say, that show is THE BOMB!!!

This passage really spoke to me today while Sylvia and I were doing a morning devotional together. It deals with not judging others over disputable matters, such as what food to eat or if medication should be taken or not because all Christians are accepted by God even with petty differences. (isn't it a relief to know thatwe don't all have to have exactly the same views to be loved by God?) He never meant to burden human beings with judging wether or not one Christian's faith is greater than anothers', that is His job alone. I struggle with this a great deal in my own life of judging others even when I don't think I'm doing it or that I am justified to do so.

Romans 14
Accept him whose faith is weak, without passing judgment on disputable matters. 2One man's faith allows him to eat everything, but another man, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables. 3The man who eats everything must not look down on him who does not, and the man who does not eat everything must not condemn the man who does, for God has accepted him. 4Who are you to judge someone else's servant? For those who frequently visit my blog, I have changed the title and blog description. I was looking through my New Bible at Brice's party (which by the way was SO MUCH FUN!) and came across these two verses which quickly became my favorite passage in the God's Word. My aspirations for life are to love God and to do his purpose therefore, what God delights in is what I aim for. Thanks to all those who have unknowingly, or not, set my spirit on fire for the Lord. My flame burns brighter because of those in my life. I think I actually might cry just writing this but take it to heart, wether you know it or not, all of you have made a huge impact in my life.

Forgive me but I have to vent for a minute...

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Mr. Snyder, I love him, but he needs to GET GOING! A whole lot of my summer depends on his decision on wether or not I get to join the choir! Work Schedule, Trips, Money, College Visits, the whole nine yards.

Speaking of College visits the prospect of going in less than a year and a half SCARES ME!!! Right now my list of colleges is narrowed down to nine but I keep getting more in the mail EVERYDAY! Thankfully my parents are really "on the ball" and are steadily pushing me in the right direction...

O.K. its over, I need prayer. Bad.

My cousins do too. We just found out that my cousin's grandmother has a re-occuring brain tumor, so it's really hard for them right now, especially my Aunt Sally. I also have had ongoing problems dealing with my friends' family issues. One has the threat of a family split on her back, another has only a mom, and the third lives with her grandparents constantly needing a real mother's care. Whenever I think about their family situations, I am SO thankful for the loving, stable family I have! These three ladies also need your prayers.

I've been on Cloud 9 since Saturday, I had sooo much FUN!!! Just to let all of those who actually still don't know... haha. DA defiantly was the only one with a tan tux (of which Mama Lily was very proud of, what can I say she has good taste!) and he got crowned Prom Prince. I bet I hardly ever stopped laughing the entire night, we were being pretty outrageous with our friends!

In other news, I got my score back for the ACT...

I was so excited when I found out that I almost burst my mother's eardrums screaching! I now officially can get an Honors Diploma when I graduate. I was so scared (My family can attest to that) beforehand but God put my heart at peace the night before testing and now he has given me a good result!

I have said, for a while, that I wanted to major in History for my under-graduate degree and then move straight onto Library-Science and get a graduate degree. WELL, I think God is changing my mind.

I have had this thing in the back of my head for a while saying "Your trying to plan your own future, but I have something else in mind for you, let me show you." About a month ago I gave God control of my ENTIRE future, including my choice of job, parenthood, etc. and since then I have just felt a little nudging here and there bringing up questions like "Do I really want to watch the Library system change right before my eyes into a technological zoo?" and "Is this REALLY what God wants for me or is it just what I want?"

I have long believed that I did not want to do ANYTHING with Science (as far as physical science or studies of human functions) or Math but now I realise, God could be leading me into a direction that I thought I might never enjoy but in fact would LOVE. Through this, I believe God might be moving me in the direction of a Psychology major and a career in Counseling. I need you all to pray for God's guidance on where I should go and what my major should be when I begin my first semester in the Fall of 2008 (it's scary how close that is when you think about it).

Now that ACT's are over, I can stop worrying so much (except about the score I'm gunna get) Thanks to The Prophesy Workshop, I was much more relaxed going in which helped me to concentrate. 4 HOURS!!!!!! AHHHHHH!!!!!! I hope I don't have to take it again.

On the other hand, I'm leaving for Storm's then Matt's house to say hello and celebrate Matt's B-day (which was like a month ago lol). This should make up for the lousy 'getting up at 6:00 am' thing. Mom also took me to lunch which was a + !

I think, unfortunately, I'm getting sick with allergies so I hope I don't sneeze on anyone, if I do I'm sorry in advance. LOL I'll bring hankies don't worry.

I have two unspoken prayer requests for my best friend Daniel and another friend Katy.

In other news, the snow is still coming down :( Oh well. I started work again today and BOY was it cold! My boss' store is in a very old building so it doesn't have central heat, BUMMER! The three floor heaters didn't have much affect except in certain areas of the store. I literally had two layers of pants, a turtleneck, and a sweater on. I also put a hat, that was for sale, on my head to keep my sensitive ears warm! I did get a frappachino, free of charge, for my efforts though so the three hours were bearable :)

I'm going to church a little later to watch the Passion of the Christ. I already saw A Walk to Remember on TV, and two sad movies in one day is probably not a good idea, for me anyway. *Sigh* Bad day WAAAAAAAAAY too many hard tests :.(
However, Spring Break is only a day away and I've got a busy schedule... really busy.
So for some reason I decided to run for Vice-President for my class today. Interesting choice for me since I probably won't win (Popularity is a socially transmitted disease). Well whatever, I'm gunna try anyway hehe DEFYING ALL ODDS!

Vote for me! I'm the weirdo who either sings or hums while walking down the hallway everyday, is friends with those who are disliked by the majority, and is accused of being an annoying-childish-stuck-up-goody-two-shoes almost every day!

Well, there you go and you know what, I really don't care what everyone else thinks about me as long as I'm wonderful in the sight of God (refer to my life verse in the top left-hand corner).

Have you ever thought about the ironic potential of the word mail-man? I mean really, If you walked up to an immigrant who knows very little English and talked to them about a mail-man, wouldn't they look at you funny? **Male-man, all men are males aren't they? Or maybe America is different...** Wow that word would confuse some people majorly! Yea, I just thought about this an hour or so ago and thought it was funny... I'm weird aren't I.

Worst Nightmare

Last night, I had the worst nightmare of my life about my dad dying. I can't remember much of it except that he was going out to mow the lawn before it happened, I lived in a strange neighborhood, the excruciating pain I felt after it happened, and weird things happening in my bathroom (flooding). It was the ABSOLUTE WORST EVER!

What made this nightmare all the worse is that I had to go make signs for Cabaret today at school after Adjudicated Event at Perkins (band related stuff). Well anyway, one thing led to another and I had to stay after to clean and work on a sign that didn't get done. My sister decided that she would joke about walking home and went to go to one of the gyms in the school thinking I would find her singing later. Well I didn't and by the time I drove home it was dark. I was FREAKING OUT because I couldn't find her and thought she had actually walked home IN the dark. I drove home, tears rolling down my face, and crying about loosing my baby sister. My mom got in the car when I got home and we finally went back to the school where she was sitting waiting for us outside. This coincides with my nightmare because my imagination was telling me she might have gotten kidnapped and I would loose her too when in real life I hadn't lost anybody. Boy, it was scary.

So now that I've told my story, I'm just wondering, What is the absolute worst nightmare you've ever had? I really cant think of anything worse than loosing someone that close to you but it is possible yours could be just as bad.

Yea, I just had to get that out of my chest and write it down somewhere because I'm still not really over it. Some prayers and comfort would be greatly appreciated from those of you I know.

Differing Denominations

A little birdy (who, by the way hasn't updated YET) told me I should make a new post. So, lately I've been thinking about different denominations. Oh NO you might think but really, I've got a topic to get out of my mind and onto paper (well not "paper" but you know what I mean...)

This topic concerns different denominations in Christianity. All of my life this has been a BIG deal, or at least it seemed. I'm not ashamed to say that I grew up Baptist, but now that I've started to think for myself and began to plan my future with God, I keep wondering... WHAT IS THE DEAL? Just because a person is Baptist, Methodist, Lutheran, etc. doesn't mean that they are drastically different, it just means that they might have different ways of worshipping. I've been referring to myself as a Methodist for some time now (My family recently switched its home church) but I realise, it really shouldn't matter. I want people to accept me FOR believing in God not HOW I worship or in what type of building. In reality, God just wants us to worship him, it doesn't matter if we recite prayers or break out the tambourines, he is STILL with us. If a person should come up to a non-believer and say that they are a Baptist, (most preconceived notions are that this specific denomination is VERY strict) then they will most likely shy away. However, if you come up to them and are truly genuine with them as a Christian, without throwing your denomination in their face, they're more likely to actually listen to what you're trying to say. Therefore, I've decided to break my image as a Baptist or a Methodist and simply be a CHRISTIAN serving God as best I can from day to day, because that is REALLY what it's all about. I hope this made sense to you all and I am open to QCC (Questions, Comments, or Concerns for those who aren't in Mr. Lucas' math class hehe).
P.S. Its supposed to warm back up to 50 ON WEDNSDAY AND ACTUALLY STAY THAT WAY FOR MORE THAN TWO DAYS!!! WHOPEE

Cabaret Announcement

So I'm feeling better and happier today (thanks to you phantom and Daniel). Wow those 2 hour delays really make my day! Unfortunatly, my cat has to go to the vet cuz she's limping... my baby's hurt! :( and my sister is sick :( but I'm managing. So I definatly promised a couple of people that I'd post stuff about Cabaret. Well, to start out with, Sylvia and I each have a solo (whopee) and a duet together! I also have another duet with one of my friends, Alyssa. This talent show/ show choir thing is being performed at my high school from March 22-25th. It is $5 per person (this is with unlimited popcorn which is a definate plus). If you want tickets just comment on this post before March 17th and I'll get you good seats, be sure to specify which day you want. It is soooo much fun to be in and is a big deal for our small school! I hope you all can come! For those who don't know where I go to school, tell me in the comment and I'll comment you back with the information.

I'm not so great at technology (my sis helps me with that part of life) but I was pleasantly surprised that editing on this site is simple! So yea, I haven't updated in a while but busyness takes it's toll. With Cabaret, Science Olympics (tonight), two college classes, church, and friends I'm swamped. However, no worries because God is helping me slowly but surely into a time managed schedule. YES! Well that's all; I will start making longer updates when March is over.
